Overview

Position: Alfresco Software Developer/Help Desk Support

Location:  Pentagon

Clearance:  Top Secret, verifiable in JPAS

No. of openings:  Two (2)

Period of Performance:  Contingent upon award

 

The eDocument, Task and Records Management (eDTRM) solution resides on the Joint Solution Provider (JSP) SIPRNet and NIPRNet Domains. The scope of this project includes the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) support and administration of the Enterprise Records Management (ERM) applications. The ERM application is supported on a Linux platform that is based on Alfresco Enterprise Content Management Repository and SQL Server 2012 R2 Database. The need is to maintain this system providing service sustainment support, engineering and deployment support, and project management and application accreditation support. 

 

O&M includes running operational components designed for administrators and/or operators, monitoring and maintaining the operational integrity of the system during operation cycles, configuration management, address defects or minor enhancements within the O&M context, communicating with external organization, and tracking activities performed through logs, status reports, matrices, and available statistical information and analysis.

Responsibilities

The Software Engineer/Developer works with the project team to determine software requirements and plans, designs, develops and implements customized software project solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Updates, repairs, and modifies Alfresco Enterprise software application, residing on a Linux platform, following standard corporate software engineering processes
  • Design, develop and maintain open systems / J2EE Java web based applications
  • Tests software and corrects software deficiencies
  • Participate in requirements analysis and definition, data analysis and modeling, design, configuration, development, and test activities

Help Desk Responsibilities:

  • Provide for continuous operation of eDTRM and also provide bug fixes/patches, routine maintenance and upkeep of the solution
  • Ensure eDTRM has an uptime of at least 98%, not counting planned outages, and provide on-site support
  • Bug identification, tracking and resolution
  • Maintaining and scaling technical architecture as needed to meet usage demands
  • Assisting with database updates
  • Integrate new production releases in support of changes, enhancements, and integration of new systems
  • Modify or enhance existing applications per customer requirements and adhere to established change management processes
  • Tracking system activities via logs, status reports, matrices, and statistical information and analysis and making recommendations for action
  • Making system updates as needed to ensure compatibility with the most current browsers, operating systems, and devices
  • Ensuring system optimization through research, recommendations and implementation of solutions that improve efficiency
  • Application performance monitoring and reporting
  • Respond to incident tickets, outage notifications (phone, email, in person)
  • Update and patch deployment to eDTRM environment
  • Ensure all processes, manual and automated, are documented in the operating procedures
  • Manage and control configuration and changes to the system

Qualifications

Clearance:

Must have a current Top Secret clearance verifiable in JPAS

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline desired; willing to consider experience in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 5-6 years software development using Java (both Standard and Enterprise libraries) within the past 8 years. We will also consider Junior to Mid-Grade candidates for this position. Ideally, overall Java/J2EE experience requirement should be supplemented with the list of tools/technologies listed below. A viable candidate should have relevant experience with the majority of items on the list:
    • Alfresco Enterprise (required)
    • Alfresco Records Management (required)
    • Linux (required)
    • LibreOffice
    • ImageMagick
    • PDS2SWF
    • MS SQL Server 2012 R2
  • DoD 8570.01-M certification to include Security+ and an OS/CE certification, at a minimum (IAT Level II)
  • Alfresco certification
