Position: Source Analyst III - C4/Cyber
Location: The Pentagon
Clearance: Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Must be verifiable in JPAS.

Source Analysts support the JCIDS processes to include analyzing Combatant Commander, Service, or Defense Agency issues and analyzing capability documents such as ICDs, DCRs, CDDs, CPDs, Joint Concepts, White Papers, & Concepts of Operations (CONOPS). Further, Source Analysts provide comments and recommendations to Action Officers for consideration and provide written draft assessments of assigned topics, such as identified capability gaps and on-going/future assessments. Source Analysts will analyze proposals, assess new capabilities, and propose recommendations to fill gaps.
Source Analysts shall support studies of combined and joint military operations conducted across the spectrum of war, from theater campaigns to operations other than war. Study objectives include course of action analysis, operational planning, time-phased force deployment data, feasibility assessments, identifying & managing areas of operational risk, determining force requirements, and developing tactics, techniques, & procedures for tactical & operational problems.
Perform analysis using widely accepted military combat models & simulations, all source intelligence analysis as well as other appropriate operations research techniques. Source Analysts provide support to gaming activities. Source Analysts interpret, synthesize, and present results & recommendations to senior military/civilian decision makers. Source Analysts shall be responsible for employing & maintaining selected models and simulations (to include their data bases) specifically designed to analyze some aspect of military operations.

This role will support the Joint Staff J6 DDC4/Cyber Aerial and Surface Data Transport portfolio. The C4 Transport Division’s mission is to provide, strategic guidance & warfighter advocacy for C4 information transport systems. Their objective is to enable decision makers at all levels by providing the pathways to move the data and information necessary to execute joint warfighting ops.
The Source Analyst shall:
Complete analysis & assessments of C4/Cyber JCIDS and directed topics – Primary focus is with Aerial and Surface Data transport.
Desired Experience Includes:
Familiarization with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), Capabilities Gap Assessment (CGA) and Program Budget Reviews (PBR). Also desired is familiarization with C4 and ISR data end-to-end dissemination capabilities via/for Tactical Radios, Link-16, Tactical Data Links (TDL), Common Data Link (CDL), Manned and Un-manned Aerial Vehicles (MQ-1, MQ-9, P-8, P-3, JSTARS, RC-12, AWACS, etc…), Full Motion Video (FMV) relays, gateways to Tactical, Operational & Strategic consumers.
Joint Staff, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Service, or Combatant Command experience. A general background in SATCOM, and a focus on Aerial & Surface data transports; C4 and Cyberspace experience a plus.
Required Education And Experience:
Must have current TS clearance (based on SSBI completed w/in the last 5 years) w/SCI eligibility. Clearance must be JPAS verifiable.
